About the university
The main purpose of RII is to educate the modern Muslim intelligentsia by training specialists in the field of Islamic theology, highly qualified specialists in the field of history, law, language, Islamic economics, called upon to serve the Muslim Ummah of Russia. The dominant religious-legal school, accepted at the institute, is the Imam Abu Hanifa's mazhab. The Institute actively participates in the process of revival of the Hanafi religious-legal school of Islam, traditional for the majority of Muslims of the Russian Federation with respect for the rest of the theological schools.
