Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences

Established in 1961, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the metropolis of Tehran (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Iran, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU) is a large (enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 57 years old H.E. institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. SBMU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sport facilities and/or activities, as well as administrative services.
