SUT has been welcoming international students for many years and wants to continue this tradition by admitting excellent students from across the world. Admission to SUT is competitive, but each application is considered on its own educational background and merits, irrespective of the nationality of the applicant. To make a competitive application, applicants need to meet the minimum GPA requirement of 3.2 (or its equivalent) or to have been ranked among the top students of their class.

Visa d’étudiant

International students need to have a valid student visa during their stay in Iran. After getting admitted to SUT, the university will apply for the student's visa. Please note that this process usually takes two to three months. Therefore, applicants should take this time into account when applying to SUT.

Hébergement

The university offers private housing to international students where rooms are either single or double occupancy. Female students are offered a specially prepared house where they choose between single and double rooms. The house is located inside the university and is about 1 minute walk to the classes. The single and double rooms will cost about 150 EUR per month which includes gas, electricity and maintenance costs. Men are offered rooms in a university house block.

Subventions

Sharif University of Technology (SUT) offers two types of scholarships to international students. A highly competitive full tuition scholarship is awarded to especially talented students, and a partial tuition scholarship of 50 percent is offered to students with good academic records. All tuition scholarships will be granted for the first semester, and can be carried on to the following semesters based on the academic performance of the receiving students.
