About the university
In its evolution, the University of Giselle has undergone several stages of restructuring. At the beginning of its history back in 1986, the opening date of the annex to the University of Constantine in accordance with Decision No. 72 of 21/03/1986 of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. To Executive Decree No. 62/88 of March 22, 1988, the application was transformed into the Higher Normal School (ENS), whose main task is to train teachers in the basic sciences, licensing mathematics, physics and chemistry In 1993, and before the continuous evolution of the students' cadre students in the school, it was decided to integrate the latter, the institution of higher technical in public works with a capacity of 400 seats and 250 seats. In July 1998, after expanding the range of training directions, obtaining educational institutions, such as the Institute of Metallurgy and the acquisition of new scientific equipment, ENS was dissolved and in its place established the University Center under Executive Decree 221/98 of 27/07/1998 with participation Four institutes: Institute of Technology, Informatics, Biology and Sciences. The University Center was built at the University of Zhizhel by Presidential Decree No. 03-258 of July 22, 2003, as a state administrative institution with legal and financial autonomy, with four faculties: the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Science Management.
