About the university
The National University of the Northeast (UNNE) is a public university of Argentina with rectorate in the city of Corrientes and vicerrectorado in Resistencia, provinces of Corrientes and the Chaco, respectively. It also has Regional University Centers that have aural extensions located in the Chaco cities of Charata, Juan José Castelli and General Pinedo, in the Corrientes cities of Goya, Paso de los Libres, Ituzaingó, Santo Tomé, Esquina and Curuzú Cuatiá; Also had offices in Posadas (Misiones), Clorinda (Formosa) and Ciudad de Formosa. The UNNE was founded by Decree-Law No. of December 14, 1956 (60 years), and grouped several dependent entities of the National University of the Coast (UNL) and the National University of Tucumán (UNT), as well as other Institutions. It forms approximately 49,875 students, in eleven faculties, and also has associated Institutes.
