About the university
For more than 50 years, when it was founded by the Society of Jesus, the educational action of the University of Salvador (USAL) is guided by a humanistic and Christian conception that favors the formation of people who are in solidarity and open to dialogue between science and faith . The vast educational offer of the USAL combines its long experience with advanced curricular engineering, which includes the most up-to-date didactic-methodological conceptions in class diction and pre-professional practices. Today, USAL studies about 30,000 students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, approximately 2,400 students from different countries. Its faculty consists of more than 2,700 professors and researchers.
