About the university
Lucia de Brouckère was the first woman to teach in a faculty of science in Belgium and an outstanding pedagogue. It is in this double title that his name was chosen in order to sponsor the Haute École. His main concern was not only to train future professors and researchers but also to prepare his students to become humanists following his example. The High School Lucia de Brouckère was born on 1 st September 1996 and consists of five institutes meeting: Haulot institute, the Institute Meurice, the higher institute economic, educational and economic as well as the Higher Institute Ferry website.
