About the university
Fondé en 1970, l’IMEP, Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie, dispense la formation d’artistes, pédagogues, acteurs sociaux adaptés aux réalités du terrain de la société actuelle. Lieu de créativité et de liberté qui s’appuie sur une tradition et une expérience pédagogique de plus de 40 ans, l’IMEP développe son action dans le respect de la pluralité d’opinion de ses membres et sur des valeurs d’inspiration humaniste. Localisé à Namur, l’IMEP est la seule ESA (École Supérieure des Arts) dans les provinces de Namur et de Luxembourg et représente, en Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, la seule ESA du domaine de la musique relevant de l’enseignement libre subventionné.
