About the university
The School of Graphic Research, located in Brussels, is a Higher Institute of Visual Arts created in 1972 by Thierry de Duve and Jean Guiraud. The ERG is an art school open to the world, listening to society in all its diversity. Its pedagogy is open and rigorous in its various multidisciplinary, theoretical and practical approaches. Each of his students draws his own path without locking himself within the strict framework of traditional schools. In administrative terms, the ERG is an institute of higher education of the long and university type, full-fledged, state-subsidized and recognized by the French Community of Belgium.
