About the university
In January 1996, on the occasion of the creation of the Hautes Écoles, the Haute École Francisco Ferrer was born. This new entity originates from the merger of all the higher education schools of the City of Brussels, namely: The Cooremans Institute (full-time and short-term economic higher education - full-time and long-term higher education - Higher School of Translation and Interpreters and High School of Administration); The Charles Buls Institute (Institute of Higher Educational Education); The Institut Supérieur de Mot-Couvreur (paramedical education (medical biology), maternal teacher, and Technique (applied electronics)); The Bishoffsheim Institute of Higher Art Education; The Institut de nursing Évelyne Anspach (paramedical education (health care). In September 2013, the Haute École's training offer was enriched with a new Social category, in which a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management was created. The Translation-Interpretation category will integrate the Free University of Brussels: "The Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication" will indeed be launched in January 2016.
