The university was established in 2010. It offers both undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. It is accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. Its actual accrediation is for 3 years until 7 July 2019. It is accredited in Europe. The university has branches in Prizren, Istanbul and Tripoli.
