About the university
The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Sofia is a State Higher School, which has accreditation with the highest degree of accreditation in Bulgaria and accredited specialties from the European Federation of National Associations of Engineers (FEANI). UCTM operates on the principle of academic autonomy under the Higher Education Act and internal regulations that are the basis for implementing the priorities of the European Higher Education Area. The university educates more than 4,000 students annually in the three qualification degrees Bachelor, Master and Doctor in regular and part-time. Issued to graduates engineers European Diploma Supplement, as well as joint degrees with the Technical University Hamburg - Harburg and Otto von Guericke in Germany and Moscow State University Press. In some subjects are taught respectively in German, French and English. The University maintains long-term cooperation with many foreign universities on joint projects, curricula and exchange of students and lecturers.
