About the university
It was founded in 1953 and is located in the city of Gomel. Over the past years, over 27,000 engineers, bachelors and masters have been trained. Currently, about 10,000 students of all forms of education study at the university. 32 teachers are trained by more than 300 teachers, including 170 professors and associate professors. Regional training centers of the University are located in Brest, Minsk. The university includes the Institute for Advanced Studies and the Research Institute of Railway Transport.
