About the university
The Mogilev Machine Building Institute was opened on September 1, 1961 in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of August 10, 1961 No. 714 and the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR of August 22, 1961 No. 504. By Order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus No. 198 dated May 17, 2000, the Mogilev Machine Building Institute was transformed into the Mogilev State Technical University (MSTU). In accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation signed in Mogilev on 19.01.2001, by the orders of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus No. 3862/518 of 28.11.2001 and No. 2102/20 of 15.05.2003, And the order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus No. 371 of September 23, 2003, the university was transformed into the State institution of higher professional education "Belarusian-Russian University". In 2014, the "Expert RA" agency awarded the university a rating class "D" meaning "acceptable level" for graduates.
