About the university
The history of the educational institution dates back to September 27, 1933, when a fire-technical school for the training of fire brigade commanders was opened on the basis of the Minsk fire brigade. Later the school was repeatedly transformed, and in 1992 it was reorganized into a higher educational institution, which since 2000 has the modern name "Command-Engineering Institute" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2002, the Institute has experience in training citizens of Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan. Quality of service provision is confirmed by certificates of compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001: 2009 and DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008. The Institute is a member of the European Association of Higher Education Institutions, providing training and professional training in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations of natural and man-made nature and civil defense (European Fire Service Colleges Associations - EFSCA).
