About the university
Founded by a trio of Cambodian, American, and German educators, Dewey International University is a private higher education institution located in the large town of Battambang (population around 250,000 inhabitants). Cost of living is very low in Battambang, and life is safe, peaceful, and comfortable. DIU is a coeducational higher education institution, and partner of the EU Erasmus+ project in Internationalization of Higher Education. DIU offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized and higher education degrees accredited by the Royal Government of Cambodia. Focus is on Bachelor's Degrees and Master's Degrees in Business Administration, and in TESOL. Courses are offered in-class, totally online, or in blended mode. International students friendly
Partner to European Union Erasmus+ FRIENDS project to improve internationalization. Creation of "Home-away-from-home" guidelines to assist foreign students, including 'buddy' system, counselling, etc. "Teahouse" lounge for foreign and local students to mix, with videos and materials on international education. Battambang is a friendly, safe, comfortable, and stress-free city of about 500,000, with many businesses that cater to foreigners, especially tourists.
Accommodation
DIU does not have dormitories, but housing is cheap and abundant. We will assist students in finding appropriate housing. Transport from accommodation to the DIU campus is cheap and easy. Transport around Battambang is cheap and easy using computerized PASAP 3-wheel motorcycles. There are many extracurricular activities, such as music and sports, in which foreign students may participate. Our students are friendly and receptive to foreigners.
