The University of Maroua (UMa) is located in the city of Maroua, Chief Places of the Region (300,000 inhabitants), Far North Region of Cameroon. It was created by Presidential Decree No. 2008/280 of August 9, 2008. Decree No. 2008/281 of August 9, 2008, on the administrative and academic organization of this institution, creates the Ecole Normale Supérieure, and the Institute Superior of the Sahel. The institution now has 07 institutions since the academic year 2014/2015.
