About the university
The Quebec Tourism and Hospitality Institute (ITHQ) was founded in 1968 by the Government of Quebec. From a kitchen and catering school, the ITHQ has specialized and expanded its fields of expertise to become one of the top hotel schools whose reputation goes far beyond the borders of Quebec. Having initiated the internationalization of its teaching in 2005, the ITHQ is now one of the best hotel management schools in the world. Visit of the famous French chef Michelin Pierre Gagnaire and physic-chemist Hervé This to receive an honorary degree from the ITHQ and give a lecture to which more than 700 people attended.
The Loans and Bursaries Program is only available for Québec students with insufficient financial resources. I recommend you to ask the competent authorities of your country if they offer a similar program for international studies. Our school has also its own Foundation. It gives bursaries to a few actual students to reward them for their academic success or for the completion of their internships.
