About the university
The Cégep Limoilou is a college-level institution (CEGEP) in Quebec founded in 1967. It offers pre-university and technical training to over 6000 students in regular education and continuing education. In 2012, it offers about 40 programs leading to the Diploma d'études collégiales , as well as about 20 shorter programs leading to a Certificate of Collegial Studies. The establishment has nearly 750 employees, including more than 500 permanent staff. The theme of the CEGEP's educational project is "Knowledge as a Source of Freedom". Cégep Limoilou was founded in 1967 , when the CÉGEP network was established . He then assembled the Quebec Institute of Technology (1907-1967) at the Externat Classique Saint-Jean-Eudes (1937-1967). The latter institution continued to exist as a secondary school.
