About the university
Founded in 1965 by six religious communities, the Central Scholasticate of Montreal, then a private normal school for lay and religious young people, has several missions, including the training or retraining of teachers. It also offers courses for students in 5 th school from 1968 to 1971. Between 1969 and 1970, following the recommendations of the Parent Report , the Scholasticate takes the name of Marie-Victorin College and became a private institution of collegial . The Adult Education Department is officially established. It is also the appearance of the first summer courses and sports sessions.
