About the university
Our history begins in 1975, when Cardinal Raul Silva Henriquez led the creation of a training center within the framework of freedom and pluralism. In this way, he was born in the Academy of Christian Humanism. This institution has allowed a large group of intellectuals from the country, especially in the social sciences, to develop a space for the creation and diffusion of knowledge of our political, economic, social and cultural reality. From the outset, the Academy is organized around a series of research centers with a characteristic connection, with the implementation of development and training programs for various social sectors.
