About the university
At the end of 1918, Don Enrique Molina left the trip to the US on behalf of the Government of Chile to study the university systems of this northern country, resulting in the presidency of the Executive Committee of the University and the clinical hospital in the hands of the Vice President of the Dr. Virgini Gomez, who referred to the link between the two projects, states that "at the moment his administration will work in favor of the university to continue to advocate for a clinical hospital, since it can not be established regardless of the existence of it." There were many steps and after several conversations, "the Committee was convinced that the government will not create who knows how long the university is. They were not only financial difficulties prevented, but also strife, political and interdenominational fears had to be made, and there was not enough or reduced delivery of some kind of human smallness, "he told Enrique Molina in 1929 as part of the celebration of the university's tenth anniversary. I will add that for this reason "the Committee was tired of waiting and in the gesture of courage and faith resolved without further delay, the opening of the university in early 1919". There was a lot to do, loomed as possible careers: Pharmacy, Dentistry, education and industrial chemistry in English; However, he had to offer the youth of the races and see the interest that exist for everyone.
