About the university
The Catholic University of Maule is an institution of higher education founded by the Excellency Bishop of the Diocese of Talca, Monsignor Carlos González Cruchaga, by Decree dated July 10, 1991. Our house of studies derives from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Regional Headquarters of the Maule, therefore it is legal successor in academic and patrimonial subjects. The University participates in the legal personality of public law of the Catholic Church, is a person of public law in conformity with the Chilean legislation, recognized by the State as a University derived from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, according to Decree No. 930 of the Ministry of Treasury of the 15 of October of 1991.
