Shanghai International Studies University ( whale. Trad. Yuen Long外國語大學 , Ex. Yuen Long外国语大学 , pinyin : Shànghǎi Wàiguóyǔ Dàxué ) - University in Shanghai . The main specialization is the study of foreign languages and international training. Founded in December 1949 soon after the formation of the People's Republic of China. Over the past 60 years has grown from the Institute of the Russian language to a multi-disciplinary university [1] . Included in the project 211 . Due to its historical specialization, the Shanghai University of Foreign Languages has the largest percentage of foreign students among students, compared with other universities in China. This university has the largest number of Russian-speaking students: from Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
