About the university
Established in 1958, Anshan Normal University（ANU）is a higher normal university mainly providing undergraduate programs. It occupies 684,000 sq.m., including 324,000 sq.m building area. Currently, the university has 14 academic schools, 3 sections for public teaching and researching, 2 affiliated schools, School of Health and junior middle school. ANU provides 49 undergraduate programs and 28 advanced vocational programs in 7 subjects ranging from arts, history, science, engineering, law, education and management. There are approximately 20,000 full time students of different levels and 2,000 full time faculty. On Oct. 17, 2011, ANU was approved to offer Master Degree of Education and became the first testing institute for the program of “Serving Program for National Special Needs Talents'''' in terms of Master of Early Childhood Education among undergraduate-level universities nationwide. In September 2013, ANU was entitled to admit Chinese Government Scholarship students.
