About the university
Chongqing Normal University (abbreviation: CQNU, referred to as: Chongqing Normal University, heavy division), is a public university in Chongqing, China. At present the school in Chongqing, a total of three campuses, respectively, located in Huxi, Shapingba and Beibei. Chongqing Normal University was founded in 1954, the school history can be traced back to 1906 founded the official Kawamura Normal School. The first president by Deng Xiaoping's brother, served as vice mayor of Chongqing, Hubei province vice governor Deng Ken as. In 1960, when he was president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Guo Moruo comrades personally wrote the school name. In 2003, approved by the Ministry of Education Chongqing Normal College officially changed its name to Chongqing Normal University.
