About the university
Shanghai University of Engineering Science is a general full-time public university in Shanghai, China. It majors in engineering science and features a harmonious development and interdisciplinary communication of branches of learning such as management studies, art design, etc.[1] It was established in 1978, originally under the name of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Electrical & Mechanical Branch (上海交通大学机电分校). In 1985, merged with a branch of East-China Textile Institute of Science and Technology (华东纺织学院), Shanghai University of Engineering Science was formally founded. In 2003, all the undergraduates were moved to Songjiang University Town.
