Inner Mongolia Agricultural University

Inner Mongolia Agricultural University is the earliest established undergraduate colleges and universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which was formed by the merger of Inner Mongolia Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Inner Mongolia Forestry College in 1999. In 1952, the original Hebei Agricultural College, Plain College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of Shanxi Agricultural College to Hohhot City, the formation of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the first undergraduate colleges and universities - Inner Mongolia Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. In 1960, Inner Mongolia Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine changed its name to Inner Mongolia Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. In 1958, Inner Mongolia Academy of Forestry was established, is the new China in the ethnic minority areas to establish the first high forestry institutions. The school is one of the agricultural-based, grassland animal husbandry as the advantage characteristics, with agriculture, industry, science, economics, management, culture, law, art and other eight disciplines of multidisciplinary university. The school is now equipped with animal science colleges and other 22 homes (ministry), vocational and technical college is the national higher vocational education demonstration institutions construction unit. The school has full-time students in school 34382 people, of which, doctoral, master graduate students 2657 people. Over the past 60 years, a total of more than 120,000 people have cultivated all kinds of talents, all over the country. Most of them have become the leading figures and technical backbone of agriculture, animal husbandry, forest, water, grass, milk and sand.
