About the university
Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College was established in July 1999 by the Ministry of Education approved by the Liaoyuan City People's Government hosted a specialist level of ordinary colleges and universities. 2004 College by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Construction identified as the country's 71 construction industry skills shortage of personnel training project one of the school. In 2005 , the college was set up by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the schools for the construction of coal mine safety training base. 2007 by the Jilin Provincial Department of Education identified as the first batch of key construction of higher vocational colleges. 2006 , 2014 twice through the Ministry of Education organized by the higher vocational training personnel assessment level. In 2014 , the provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Education and other departments as "the province's advanced units of vocational education," 2015 , by the provincial spiritual civilization construction committee as "provincial spiritual civilization unit."
