About the university
Jishou University is a university located in Jishou, Hunan, China. As of fall 2013, the university has 2 campuses, a combined student body of 27,000 students, 2,000 faculty members, 200 staff members. Jishou University was formed in April 1958 by the CPC Government of the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and was initially called "Jishou College".
