The school is the first batch of national exemplary higher vocational colleges. The school is the predecessor of Chongqing Machinery Manufacturing School. 1956 years, the former National Machinery Industry Ministry created; 2000 , the Chongqing Chongqing mechanical machine building schools and university workers merger upgraded to Chongqing Polytechnic College; 2006 , becoming the first batch of 28 Suo national demonstration vocational colleges; 2010 Year, the school from Jiulongpo District Yuanjiagang overall relocation into Yubei Airport Renbi Tan new campus (Taoyuan Road 1000 , from Jiangbei International Airport 1.5 km).
