About the university
Qinghai University, formerly known as Qinghai Institute of Technology , was founded in 1958. In November 1960, Qinghai Institute of Technology and Qinghai Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Qinghai Medical College , Qinghai Institute of Finance and Economics merged into Qinghai University . "Cultural Revolution" early Qinghai University was revoked. 1971 to restore the workers, agriculture, including two major disciplines, including the Qinghai Institute of Agriculture and Industry. In 1988 changed its name to Qinghai University .
