About the university
Shanxi Police College, located in Taiyuan City , Shanxi Province , is a public undergraduate institutions, in March 2016 by the Shanxi Police Academy officially upgraded to Shanxi Police Academy, while the revocation of Shanxi police academy institutions. Shanxi Police Academy began in October 1949 to set up the Shanxi Provincial Public Security School. 1978 began to hold high school starting secondary school education, in 1987 began adult college education, 1991, the Ministry of Public Security Management Institute of Shanxi branch and the Shanxi Provincial People's Police School merged school, in March 2000 approved by the Ministry of Education to establish the Shanxi police officers higher specialist School, in March 2016, the Ministry of Education sent a letter to the Shanxi Provincial People's Government agreed to establish a Shanxi Police Academy on the basis of Shanxi Police Academy.
