About the university
The school was founded in 1958, is based on Nankai University economic professional, and from the North China, northeast of colleges and universities gathered in a number of economists in the field of strong strength of the teachers set up. Formerly known as the Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, October 19, 1969 was placed under the leadership of Tianjin, changed its name to Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics. May 17, 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, changed its name to Tianjin University of Finance and Economics. The school covers an area of 1500 acres, the total construction area of nearly 500,000 square meters, the library collection of more than 120 million copies. Has three first-level disciplines doctoral degree authorization and post-doctoral mobile station , seven first-level discipline master degree authorization. There are more than 800 full-time teachers, there are all kinds of students in more than 17000 people, including full-time undergraduate students more than 12,000 people, more than 2,000 graduate students, nearly 500 students. The school has 12 teaching departments.
