About the university
Approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, Jiandong College is a private full-time college engaging in higher vocational education with registration information at the Ministry of Education. Located in the national high-tech development zone of Changzhou's Xinbei district, the College is adjacent to a famous tourist attraction-- China Dinosaur Park. It has two campuses, with an area of 420,000 sq m and a floorage of 153,800 sq m. Its library holds more than 362,000 volumes. Jiandong College boasts advanced network facilities, audio-visual devices, a modern education center, and 66 labs for experiments and practical training. Its teaching instruments and equipment, including 1,562 computers, with a total value of 26.55 million yuan ($4.32 million), can meet the demands for teaching, experiment and practice. There are more than 5,000 students in five faculties – Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics and Electronic Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Economic Management, Art and Design, and one department – Department of Basic Courses.
