July 26, 1999, the Ministry of Education issued [1999] No. 104, agreed to Southwest Aerospace Workers University and Chongqing Electronic Industry School on the basis of the establishment of Chongqing Electronic Vocational and Technical College, Chongqing, the first independent set of higher vocational skills College, by the Chongqing municipal government education administrative department leadership management.
