About the university

Zhejiang Institute of Communications, formerly known as Communication School of Zhejiang Province, was established in 1958 and approved by Ministry of Education in 1999. It is a state-run full-time higher vocational and technical college. The institute is subordinate to the Department of Transport of Zhejiang Province and is praised as cradle for qualified people in the field of transport in Zhejiang. The institute has the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to the east, the Xixi wet land to the west, the beautiful West Lake to the south and the ancient city Liangzhu to the north. The campus has a beautiful environment, with modern and digital educational and living facilities. It covers an area of 41.5 hectares and a total construction area of 220,674 square meters. It has over 8,700 students and more than 500 faculty members.
