About the university
Shanghai Maritime Vocational and Technical College is approved by the Shanghai municipal government specializing in the training of high maritime technology and technical talents of ordinary colleges and universities, colleges and universities in Shanghai for the construction of one of the institutions, Shanghai high-skilled personnel training base. The school history can be traced back to the establishment of the Shanghai Maritime Institute in 1958, the Department of secondary schools, in 2001, approved by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Education agreed that the Shanghai Maritime Workers College by the adult college transition for the Shanghai Maritime Vocational and Technical College ordinary colleges and universities.
