About the university
Kunming Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a Yunnan Ordinary Higher Vocational and Technical College, its predecessor was founded in 1964 to set up Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. technical school, in 2002, the formation of Kunming Industrial Vocational and Technical College. The school is "the national metallurgical talent training base", "Yunnan provincial demonstration vocational colleges", "Yunnan province characteristics vocational colleges", "Yunnan province high skill personnel training base". As of December 2015, the school campus a total area of 768311 square meters, the collection of books 78 million, the amount of equipment 44.75 million yuan; 779 workers in the post.
