About the university
Jiangsu College of Engineering andTechnology（JCET） is a state-run full-time vocational study collegemanaged on behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Government. It hasbecome a showcase construction unit of the State Model VocationalCollege Project. Its history can be traced back to the firsttextile school in China as far back as 1912. It was established byMr. Zhang Jian, the famous patriotic industrialist andeducationist. JCET has established a profound cultural accumulationwith nearly one hundred years of training large numbers ofexcellent graduates for the economic, social, construction anddevelopment of Jiangsu province, as well as the whole of China. Located in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, JCET enjoys the convenience of quick and easy transportation withinthe one-hour-economic-zone of Shanghai. JCET has a land area of 720mu (one mu equals to 666.67 square meters), with total floor spaceof 202,400 square meters. The students at JCET can take advantageof emerging technology, modern scientific teaching methods andcontemporary teaching methodologies. The JCET library also is intune with the goal of informatization and digitalization.
