About the university
The predecessor of the Shanxi Branch of the Chinese Medical Association is the Taiyuan Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. Was established in 1952, 1958 by the Council to expand the decision to change the Taiyuan Branch of the Chinese Medical Association Shanxi Branch. 1960 Shanxi Branch and Shanxi Chinese Medicine Association merged into "Shanxi Medical and Health Association", in 1993 restored the Chinese Medical Association Shanxi Branch. During the Cultural Revolution, the activities were suspended and resumed in 1979.
