About the university
Xiangyang Vocational and Technical College is located in the national historical and cultural city of Xiangyang , is approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education for the record of a public full-time multi-disciplinary higher vocational institutions, is the national model (backbone) vocational colleges. In 1945, the United States Church to create Xiangyang Tongji Hospital and its attached senior nurses school, is the predecessor of the original Xiangfan health school; 1935 years to stay in Dr. Zhang Fuchun founded Xiangyang Agricultural School, is the first school in Xiangyang County , Original Xiangyang agricultural school predecessor. August 2000 in the three schools on the basis of the formation of Xiangfan Vocational and Technical College , in April 2012, changed its name to Xiangyang Vocational and Technical College. As of November 2015, the school covers an area of 800,000 square meters, the school building area of 470,000 square meters, teaching equipment, total assets of 139 million yuan; library collection of 1.04 million; faculty 1032, full-time teachers 718, Double teachers of quality teachers 530; with 12 teaching units, set up 47 professional, more than 16,000 students.
