About the university
Chongqing Power Workers University was founded in 1976, the school's predecessor was Chongqing Power Supply Bureau workers and universities, in 1981 by the Ministry of Water and Hydropower approved, in October 1982 the Ministry of Education for the record, as the county group formed the first batch of 12 workers and universities. In order to meet the needs of the market economy and the development of the Chongqing electric power industry, the educational structure and the rational allocation of resources were carried out.
