About the university
Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College is approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government to set up, the Ministry of Education for the record of a province of public college-level full-time ordinary colleges and universities, Jiangsu Province, provincial-level demonstration of vocational colleges. School predecessor was founded in 1941 in Nanjing special city of the first vocational secondary school, since 1955 renamed the Nanjing Railway Transport School, long-term under the Ministry of Railways management. In 2002 the school upgraded to higher vocational and technical college, changed its name to Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College, in 2004 by the Ministry of Railways to Jiangsu Province, local management.
