About the university
Silver Mining and Metallurgical Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as the Silver Nonferrous Metal Workers University is approved by the Gansu provincial government, the Ministry of Education for the record of ordinary higher vocational institutions. As of 2013, the silver mining and metallurgical vocational and technical college has formed a resource development , nonferrous metal mining, mineral processing , smelting, chemical and other characteristics of professional, mechanical and electrical integration , numerical control technology and other professional advantages of full-time ordinary higher vocational institutions. College covers an area of 678 acres, two north and south campus, according to the school website in 2014, the college has a total of 206 faculty members.
