About the university
Founded in 1956 in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is the birth of the new China after the first batch of four established Chinese medicine institutions of higher learning, but also the Shanghai municipal colleges and universities in the only one of the key medical institutions. 1985 Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established, currently with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine two brands, a set of management agencies, school-level leadership concurrently research institute-level leadership management system. The school is located in the Pudong New Area Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park research and education area, covering more than 500 acres, teaching facilities, beautiful environment, in Shanghai to build "innovative city" strategic layout, has become "Zhangjiang drug Valley" an important part.
