About the university
Baotou Iron and Steel Vocational and Technical College is located in the first batch of national civilized city, the beautiful grassland steel city - Baotou, was founded in 1979 by the state-owned large enterprises - Baotou Steel (Group) Company funded, the predecessor of Baotou workers the University. In 2005 by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government approval, the State Ministry of Education for the record, upgraded to full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning.
