About the university
Yantai Institute of Engineering Technology (Yantai Engineering & Technology College) is run by the Yantai Municipal Government sponsored, and by the Shandong Provincial People's Government set up the approval of Ministry of Education, People's Republic of China for the record of ordinary full-time public higher vocational schools. [1] Yantai Engineering Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1957, "Yantai City, Shandong Province Xinglong Street private middle school"; 1990, the establishment of Yantai City senior technical schools; in 2002, changed its name to Yantai Institute of Technology; 2005, the original Yantai City Light industry technical school and the original Yantai City textile industry integrated into the Yantai City Institute of Technology; 2006, the establishment of Yantai Engineering Vocational and Technical College. As of December 2015, Yantai Engineering Vocational and Technical College covers an area of 864 acres, construction area of 240,000 square meters, fixed assets of 507 million yuan, built a total of eight teaching departments, set up 26 professional college professional; People, of which 353 full-time teachers, full-time students in the 7105 people (September 2015 data)
