About the university
Founded in 1872, the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary is not only Taiwan’s oldest theological school but also one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions for theological education in Asia. Perched on the edge of the Yangming Mountain overlooking Taipei, the manicured campus grounds are home to an international community of students and scholars focused on pursuing the knowledge of God The educational heritage of the college as well as its focus on rigorous, research-led teaching is well-known throughout the region. Every year, students from across Taiwan, together with an increasing number of international students, chose the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary as their academic home. The college, known locally as Taishen, caters for students at all tertiary levels study, promoting a deep sense of academic scholarship at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. Our range of research institutions and centers makes the college the ideal location for students pursuing research-based higher degrees.
