About the university
The Universidad Católica de Oriente is a Colombian Catholic university located in Rionegro ( Oriente Antioqueño ) and belonging to the Diócesis de Sonsón-Rionegro, which created it in its silver anniversary during the episcopal administration of Alfonso Uribe Jaramillo . It was recognized by the Ministry of Education on June 23, 1993. It has 24 undergraduate programs and 14 graduate. It is organized in 7 faculties: Agricultural Sciences; Accounting, Economics and Administration; Social Sciences; Law and Social Sciences; Education; Engineering; And Theology.
